Hi everyone- Well I am slowly transitioning into my new eating style. I am about 40 to 50 % vegetarian. Some of that raw/vegan. Very angry at myself when I eat for emotional reasons or I give into ctavings. But I am learning to forgive myself and allow myself to enjoy what ever my food intake is. According to Dr. Joel Amen it may not be a food issue but really a brain issue. I have started reading, "change your brain, change your body". My two biggest challenges is eating at work and my soda intake which is out of control. I really need to focus more consistently on making good food choices and preparing the night before work.
As for the soda...... I am done. I will always have cold water in my fridge.
Even being only 40% vegan, I can tell the difference when I eat a light bright vegan dish and my meat and potato dish. The meat dish tastes so good, but an hour later I feel sluggish and tired. The salad tastes ok but later I have a burst of clarity and energy and I feel wonderful for hours on end. I weigh 204.2 on June 19.
