Hi All,
It's been quite a while since I posted. The long and short of it is, after 20 days without sugar, I grabbed a raw chocolate bar at the Dekalb Farmer's Market and I was off to the races.
It "happened" with a lot of forethought, though the actual gesture took a split second.
Since then I have been eating sugary things off and on. I'm not too happy about the weight I've gained since this, er, "happened." Gaining and losing weight is after all, a calories in and…

Hi All,
My birthday is a day apart from one of my best friends birthday, and we celebrated in a big way yesterday. My friend was turning 50, and I 51, My guess is there were over 50 people attending the party. The party was catered with Jamaican style food. Not much in the way of raw food, but the food was fresh and well prepared. My favorite was the pineapple coleslaw.
Rewind to five hours before the party. The big test, of course, would be the cake. Would I eat any? The funny…

The most interesting thing that happened at the party was how people reacted when I was turning them down as they…

Soon after my last competition I knew I had to begin to attend OA meetings when I could not stop eating. It was really frightening. I knew for some time that I had an eating disorder, but I was able to "control" my very strict bodybuilders diet for about three years, falling “off the wagon” harder and harder after each show. The good…

Victoria Moon said… Hi Andrew,
Welcome and congratulations! I acknowledge you for the courage it took to push through and create what will make the difference for you in your healing mission. And remaining anonymous totally works here because this is a space for your HEALING EXPRESSION, however that looks for you. Not only are your abiding by the traditions of OA, but this may even allow your MORE FREEDOM in your expression since you won't have to worry about the Ego saying, "What are they going to think of me?!" Just wanted to point that out :)
Anyway, your expression and contribution make a difference! Thank you for sharing with us. We are pulling for your greatest with our listening!
Constant Healing,
Victoria Moon
