And what role does VOICE play in it?
Voice is the subject of a painting series I am working on this summer. I am exploring its relationship to culture and communication mediums.
voice. what is it? what does it mean to have one?
I hypothesize:
Voice + x = Culture
x= any communication device, both organic & otherwise
My research begins here. Among friends.

I have been developing some ideas around culture, and the need to support culture that reflects my own values as a peace centered person. To wit:
Culture is birthed from horticulture. Cultured vegetables gave us high quality nutrition when the seasons did not allow for fresh vegetables. Culture is reborn continually through our food ways, and the oral tradition of sharing recipes and preparation techniques. Culture also tells us why we do things the way we do, if you can discern the messages contained. Notions of culture associated with non-essentials such as cars, musical genres, and destructive activities, (war for example), are imitations of culture. In reality, they are mental constructs designed to distract our energy from reality. The intention of such cultures of illusion is to sell us something that we do not need for our existence. That is the mission of advertising as well.
In the wisdom traditions of our ancestors, reality always trumps illusion. The tradition of the wise one is to speak with truth and love to the ears that can hear. Speaking truth to power within ourselves. It make take time for reality to shine forth, so keep watering those seeds of life, and remember that you are not alone in this quest.
Culture is held in common, intangible yet as real as any other human creation. Food is the key. Gandhi taught that the quickest way to change consciousness is to change one's diet.
Only when bellies are full of quality nutrition can people create culture. In the same way, time is really the first dimension. Without time, other dimensions cannot be measured and understood. Time behaves exactly as we expect it too, being a reflection of our own beliefs about time.
So to culture expands to fit our personal definition of what is culture. It is our creation, meaning those who celebrate a culture create culture. You have gotten the ball rolling here by inviting us into this beautiful and important realm. I would suggest the way to begin is to ask:
"What are the elements of the culture in which I choose to exist?"
Any formula or mathematical approach to discovering culture will land you in the realm of the inorganic machine world. If we are reduced to a mathematical explanation of existence, we lose our humanity and any chance to discover a new culture that encompasses of who we CAN become.
I am probably way out on a limb, and before I quit sawing off my intellectual perch, I would like to invite you to continue this conversation by way of listing the attributes and elements of the culture we wish to create. As elements are revealed and discussed, perhaps we can forge a vital and inclusive consensus of what our culture truly is, and not some marketing bullshit or clever disguise for purposes of deception. (still sawing!)
I would like to further encourage participants in this great discussion thread to affirm what our culture is, instead of what it is not. I think it is relatively clear on what we are not.
Example! I affirm and agree that my culture respects all life, and celebrates our co-interdependence on the earth and all living beings great and small.
ps. A manifesto is not my goal, although I am not against them. Words are a byproduct of culture, not the other way around.
And now I am free falling, hoping that some one will pick up this thread and tie it to the tree of life before I am flattened by silence.... ALOHA! Will

I don't know about those other fellows, as I can only speak with my own voice. It is not a matter or where we land, it is about where we live, where we play. Culture comes from the heart, and as such, can be expressed through the mind, or not. We share because we love, and that builds bonds that bridge the generations.
Sometimes it is best to let the mystery be mysterious....
Permalink Reply by Victoria Moon on November 4, 2011 at 4:34pm Hi V,
WaHOOLAAAAH! (My new native language word it means ALOHA, and ALL capital letters denotes shouting, like communicating over a distance. ) The mystery is inside of us, too. oo
A GREEN TEAmmm? mobile apps native environment whatever is the term for "like I don't know" such as the mystery. I am surrounded by mystery and, and then there is what I know. That is where I keep the mystery
Since we are all peers, (except when one is experiencing specific organ failure), I leave the mystery on the alter in my mind, Sister Mother Goddess Crone lives there to, elevated to the "eleysian" fields that are real in this dimensional grid work master plan. That particular dog don't just hunt where the mystery unfolds, because in the black and white world (BOWWow), there is only master and servant. Captured in the nets of slavery, for debts of time and treasure. Just like sardines, people everywhere trapped in duality, not feeling the other....
Now, outside is our world, and our work. I am so blessed to be farming for another year. Truck market is the level, with the soil of champions. Now sand and manure can become something that feeds us all. The farm teaches us how to apply the 5 element toward the supernatureal.
I am texting in a new tongue, for the young tungs to taste.
Food is one of the 5 Elements of life on earth. It is a ring locked in time, to many rings. Think about five things that go together really well, and you will understand the 5 elements, or element5. All life depends on the skin of the earth, the metabolic layer of our planet. We are all living downwind from everyone, and our generations know all of the earth’s people. More than a few live without eating meat, consuming food from the metabolic layer in a direct fashion. There, I have let the cat out of the bag. Take that, fashionistas!
Food Clothing Shelter Air Water
We need, the earth provides the elements, and we CREATE WITH THESE !
CREATE WORDS! CREATE WORLDS! CREATE FARMS!
words are words, and the word water won’t get you wet
So, CREATE A GARDEN! FEED YOUR SOUL!

I ama certifiable, that is why I take the 5 element (TCM applied to the native + love = 5 element, or 53lement) knowledge base as useful, as the earth demands her own tax (taking of) and she needs instructional folks who can communicate to everyone on the wwww.uno

More on the farm restoration as I am finish the farmhouse first, and clean the toxins from the land. OOOWWW is right. I have activated my farm team, and we are locking in the legals of the farm for 7 generations. Reclaiming the hidden power of the soil, restoring the waters, and balancing nature so that our future generations will walk barefoot as ambassadors of the peace within.
Ps what they say about me is true, and I know it too. Will
