quick question: what are the best milk alternatives to buy at the store?

So.. when it comes to milk and creamy things.. I am lazy sometimes and don't want to make my own nut milk.  So.. I find myself buying things like organic almond milk or sometimes rice milk.  But then I wonder... is this really a good idea?  Am I fooling myself?

Someone told me that rice milk is just sugar water... is this true?

Is there any milk alternative that actually nourishes the body that you can buy at the store?

Chances are you are getting some nutrition from packaged nut milks at the store, but not enough—and definitely not enough to justify the "clean label" sources of MSG that are found in many nut milks, especially almond and soy milk. I personally, buy organic rice milk when I am craving milk and don't feel like making it. I understand what your friend said, and it's probably pretty close to being true, but I've noticed that rice milk does not contain (or at least not as many) hidden sources of MSG, a highly destructive and dangerous excitotoxin that damages brain cells ESPECIALLY in children!

You can also try mixing rice milk and young coconut water together. The two pair really well and you will get more nutrition, while getting more bang for your buck.

Hope this helps!
Cheers :)
