Food additives are purposely added to food to change its color, preserve it, prevent rancidity, keep fats emulsified, and the food stable. Most of the chemicals are synthetic compounds, some with known negative health effects.  The scariest thing is that we don't really know what the long-term consequences of consuming such large amounts of additives are.  However, studies and experiments has shown that avoiding food additives has a tremendous impact on health and behavior!

Below is a list of the additives that you and your family should avoid.  Let's give our children a fighting chance!

At first I thought this was saying that Amaranth ,the plant, was unsafe to eat (crazy since I grow it and eat it) until I found out what companies call "amaranth" dye= E123 in Europe or Red No. 2 here in the US. Hope I was the only one confused by that.
