Someone asked a question about how to deal with the gas and indigestion they are experiencing on their new plant-based diet. For me, the key to proper digestion is honoring the digestive process by thoroughly chewing my food, staying hydrated while making sure not to drink too much while I am eating and, last but definitely not least, eating for my performance. This last one is crucial because when we eat for our performance and listen to our body, it will tell us exactly what we need. Proper digestion is nothing more than cultivating a loving partnership with your body temple and it makes all the difference. If this hasn't been your practice, it may take some work before you and your body can get back that "loving feeling."

Ultimately, you will need to discover the food combinations that work best for you in your life! Embrace and enjoy the journey and you will be amazed at what your body can do when you work with it and respect its needs!
