Permission to Heal

A Community For Empowered Healers

Whether you believe in a soul or not, i think the following question is worth exploring.  This question came to me on a bus ride back to Atlanta today:
How would I go about my day if my spirit entered this body for the first time this morning? Like a movie where the protagonist wakes up in the body of someone else whose choices (good and bad) aren't her own. Would I punish this body? Would I forgive her? Would I go about transformation with kindness and grace? Would I teach her new things? Explore new worlds of thought. would I judge her?

Would I give her permission to heal?

this is a beautiful inquiry, emily... thank you!   i have no idea what i would do... if i was new to this life... witnessing who i have become up til now.  if i knew peace.. and saw how seldom mash experienced peace... i might want to wake her up to being PRESENT and experiencing the deliciousness of PEACEFULNESS, for this is what it is to be in healing, i believe.

For me, reading this was like watching a ballet. The way the words dance is so graceful and tender and just as enjoyable to witness as receiving the images they illustrate. So first, thanks for that.

I get that your question is somewhat rhetorical, but I have a response. And it is this: I suppose I take for granted my belief in the soul and in things that can not be seen. I, as with many others who have had near death experiences, have no question about that. And so the question for me is not "if" or of a hypothetical nature, but rather do I choose Life as it really is, allowing all of it to be divinely expressed through me or do I desperately hold onto the illusion that I am only my body, only able to impact and engage with what my eyes can see? And so with that, the answer is... I strive to awaken in a state of acceptance and permission every moment of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for the gift of forgiveness when I forget.

Thank you for the beautiful listening Em. A true reflection of your light!

~Namaste~

"Recognizing, accepting, and expressing our authentic interior reality lies at the heart of honesty; only when we are honest with ourselves can we speak or act honestly with anyone else. In the sense of integrity, honesty entails acting in line with higher laws despite negative impulses to the contrary.

Live according to your highest light and more light will be given."
